Since Jasper’s origins, Courthouse Square has been the focus of the community. Unfortunately, the current configuration of the space renders it more a place to pass through than to stay. Wide streets surround the courthouse and isolate it from the commercial businesses on its edges.
OUR RESPONSE
A modest reduction in the roadway allows for a generous planting buffer to address stormwater adjacent to the road and create new outdoor activity nodes.
The Results
Jasper’s Courthouse Square infrastructure and Revitalization Project was completed in Summer 2023.
